provide any more useful detail?

N.B.: not all of the tasks would involve doing cross-phase comparisons of data. In some cases it's just about seeing whether the method generates 'well-behaved' results using our methods.

By method you mean computation of the various metrics only? How does one assess how `well-behave' it may be?
