Relationship with Material Design?

Hi, after spending my career in backend, I'm making my first foray into frontend. Please excuse my ignorance.

Tailadmin popped up on my company's radar and someone suggested that it's reminiscent of Material Design, but I see no citation of Material Design in the docs. Is Tailadmin/Tailwind a deliberate derivation of Material Design, or something else entirely?

Closing out – found the answer to my question, which is Tailwind is inspired by Material Design (per official website).
