hangs when trying to change RAR preferences

Closed this issue · 2 comments

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open ComicTagger
2. Go to Preferences
3. Click '...' button next to either RAR or UnRAR
(4. File Dialog opens, click any folder in it)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: file dialog to choose a program (usually doesn't get this far, have
once had it get to this window but still was unable to navigate to the unrar
program)
Actual: Hangs. Crashes when closing the preferences window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac OS X 10.8.3
ComicTagger 1.1.9-beta

OK, I can't seem to re-create this problem. It may be because I have an older
Mac, running 10.6.8, which, unfortunately, is as high as I can upgrade on this
32-bit machine.

I will ask around about this problem, but in the meantime, you can manually
edit the settings file as a workaround.

Just edit the file "/Users/tony/.ComicTagger/settings" and make the proper
lines look something like this:

rar_exe_path = /usr/local/bin/rar

  • Changed state: Accepted
No repsonse in a while, and no more people with issues for this common
procedure, so going to assume it's a one-off issue. Closing for now, but feel
free to re-open
