The extension seems to freeze session unlock

There was a problem before when I used this extension, where I often could not unlock my Gnome session without it freezing for a few minutes (around 5).
The issue showed up again when I tried using the extension again, which indicates that this extensions has a problem.
Don't get me wrong, it works pretty fine otherwise (Github version, on Gnome 3.28.2), but it freezes as if there was a massive leak somewhere that plagued session unlocking.

Disabling the extension resolves the problem.
