Time series file for

Closed this issue · 5 comments

Dear The Economist Team,

I am looking at 2 tables from the following link:
covid-19-the-economist-global-excess-deaths-model/output-data/output-for-interactive/table_B.csv
covid-19-the-economist-global-excess-deaths-model/output-data/output-for-interactive/second_map.csv

I find that these tables only have current day data but do not provide time series data. May I ask if you have time series data available somewhere?

Thanks,
Ruijing

Hi Ruijing,

We don't currently export those as time-series, but could write a script to do it. Would you want all the columns in those tables on a weekly basis?

Thank you for willing to making time series file!
Is it able to have them on a daily basis? Since I think these columns are daily series.

The numbers are daily, but we only estimate them once a week to reduce dimensionality. If you would like, you could use interpolation to get a daily dataset. Just let me know which columns you would like and I can put this on my to-do list.

Thanks for the explanation!
I would like to know implied infections(implied_infections_per_100_persons, implied_infections_per_100_persons_top_95, and cumulative_estimated_daily_excess_deaths_ci_95_bot_per_100k). And if it is possible, I would also like to have cumulative estimated daily excess deaths related series.
Thank you so much for willing to help!
