Anbernic 405V with GammaOS 1.5.1 fan won't turn off.

after installation of the newest release of GammaOS 1.5.1 on my device the fan won,t stop spinning, i think it's not intended as there are quick settings for it in the scroll down menu, needless to say the buttons don't change the state of the fan. I proceeded with the update of GammaOS via instructions bearing in mind the author's troubleshooting. looking for a quick fix or is it better to uninstall and reinstall from factory settings?
