Disable Home + RS brightness shortcut

Running GammaOS 1.5.1 on a 405V. Everything was working just fine, until I found I can’t map the Y axis as a hotkey in retroarch anymore as it adjusts brightness no matter what I try.
In some cases it even uses the volume buttons to adjust brightness, until I reboot the console.
Is there a simple toggle that I may have missed to disable this shortcut for brightness adjustment once and for all or could this be perhaps a bug?

This is hard coded in rgp2xbox which is a background process written by me for manipulation of controller inputs and more.
You could try modifying and compiling your own version, and install this as a magisk module.
