game crashes when wand is in inventory while in survival

having the same issue, playing on SkyT, trying to move the wand into inventory and ends up giving me;
"The game crashed whilst unexpected error
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: LazyOptional is empty or otherwise returned null from getValue() unexpectedly"
and "Error Code: -1"
