[Need for Speed: Undercover] tire smoke not appearing with genericfix // multifix-genericfix question

smoke effects (driving through dirt, drifting) do not appear when using the genericfix. this happens regardless of wether or not smoke is toggled on in the ingame graphics settings or what is enabled in the .ini file. playing without genericfix resolves the issue.
(retail unpatched, steam .exe)
the project reformed mod comes with a wip multifix version which has a few extra features the genericfix currently does not have. are the multifix and genericfix going to be merged sometime down the future?
