Site Options General: Clear cache from the UI

Under Site Options > General, it is possible to set the time for caching
objects.
It would be nice, if there was a button for directly clearing the elements
cached on the server (like remove-old-caches.php?areyousure=yes)

agreed. I tend to go in and clear it by hand.
I thought I had an API way of doing it, but I just checked the core APIs and
don't see it
