exit without any information,only a error code

when I try to use gdf.sindex,the program return like "Process finished with exit code -1073740940 (0xC0000374)"，and there is no other error information,I want to know how to solve this problem,thanks!
(I make sure that there is no self-intersection polygon in gdf)
