Support for ARM based CPU architectures

Hi, I am writing on behalf of TopoStats (https://github.com/AFM-SPM/TopoStats). TopoStats is a software for the automated flattening and processing of AFM images. We are currently trying to add support for more file formats and have found your library to be very useful. We are wondering if it would be possible to provide ARM binaries to PyPi so that users with such hardware (M1 / M2 Mac systems especially) would be able to use our software without having to navigate the often intimidating process of building the binaries for their systems manually.

We are trying to make our software as accessible as possible to users who may not have any technical experience with programming, so the ability to have all the requirements for TopoStats installed automatically is of great importance to us. We would greatly appreciate it if support for computers such as the increasingly common M1 / M2 Macs could be implemented.

In case that you do not possess M1/M2 (Apple Silicon) hardware, we could build and provide the binaries for you to upload to PyPi.
