Edit Document Meta Data

Provide users with an easily accesible way for making changes to meta data associated with existing documents.

Why this is important: First, the expert client doesn not seem to provide anything of that sort. From a user's perspective this means that once a document has been imported there is no way of making any changes to the meta data.

Second, there doesn't seem to be any kind of data validation when meta data is first entered. As a result a majority of the documents I have dealt with so has rather unsatisfactory meta data. Crucial fields such as document descriptions, the document's language, time period when document was created, etc. are missing or contain invalid values (e.g. special characters in document titles). This makes it hard to provide users with useful results when filtering and sorting documents or when displaying document details.

It would be helpful if users could fill in missing fields and invalid values. Also, meta data quality could be improved by requiring valid input for each field.
