White screen for 4-6 seconds when switching to Android app

I'm on a fast Android phone (Pixel 8) in a fairly small community (our test community) and when Quiet has been offline for enough time (but still the backend is running) I see a white screen after the Quiet splash screen for 4-6 seconds.

I don't remember seeing this before so I'm wondering if it's a regression.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run Quiet
2. Join our test community or a community with some number of messages and users (1000?)
3. Use the phone normally until the Quiet frontend goes to background (I'm not sure how to trigger this; swiping up is not sufficient.)

Expected: App starts right away, or splash screen or spinner displays until chats display

Actual: Splash screen displays, then white screen for 4-6 seconds, then chats. A user might think something is wrong.
