SP Registry is creating duplicate entries

Currently the SP Registry is creating duplicate entries in the database that prevent a user from accessing a record as the collision results in no record being presented to the user.

This issue is to determine the exact cause of the duplicate entries being created, find a way to prevent them from being created, and introduce error handling into the SP Reg code so that it can handle when more than one record is found in the database.
