Is there a reason development has stopped on erc1155 and erc721 support?

I saw it was discussed a good amount previously, and seems to be implemented somewhat in old branches. What caused development to stop?

Was also wondering if ERC1155 and ERC721 were going to be supported soon. Any word on this?
