Polyglot-v2 Install Script leaves behind the tar file

Not a big deal, but I noticed that after running the install script, which works perfectly, it leaves behind the archive file in the polyglot folder. Is there a reason for that? If not, maybe delete it to save some space. I deleted it and everything seems to run fine...hopefully that wasn't a mistake?
