Graduate student volunteers to lead workshops for hackathon?

Closed this issue · 0 comments

Hi everyone! My name is Bryan Hong and I'm a PhD student in the Department of Psychology. A few of the graduate students in the department have been organizing a small hackathon (~30 people) called PsychHacks from Friday May 3 to Saturday May 4 (https://psychhack2019.github.io/landing/) to help graduate and undergraduate students develop and practice some coding skills. I've attended a few UofT Coders events in the past and I think it would be awesome if we could have some graduate students lead some workshops -- it would also be a great opportunity to advertise UofT Coders to people who are interested in coding! I was thinking of intermediate R/Python courses (ie. Tidyverse, Shiny, ggplot, machine learning, etc.), but would be happy to hear if anyone would be interested in leading some workshops. Please reach out to me at bryan.hong@mail.utoronto.ca if you or someone you know would be interested! 😃
