Flying issues with wings

Hey, so currently playing Prominence 2, and the wings originally were very hard to use, so I ignored crafting them, however after going into another world and re-testing them they worked great, felt like free fly.. then after logging off for the night and coming back the following day, they're back to 'gliding' and not the free fly I started with.

I've seen other posts on this issue as well, any fixes or a cause for this issue?
