I have made the same mistake on one of my board where I used an EPCOS SAW filter for 1575 Mhz. The footprint they list in their datasheet is from the bottom perspective, it's really unclear, but I like their filter a lot. I just wanted to post this issue to notify you of this fact, so you don't make the same mistake I did.
Attached to this I have a picture what the filter looks like from the bottom!
