Command 'code' not found

It seems ever since something recently updated, either vscode or a remote extension, the code command does not work in my windows terminal, the vscode bin is not located in $PATH. The command does however work in the vscode integrated terminal in my ubuntu instance:
Command 'code' not found, but can be installed with:
sudo snap install code
