WebM muxer has been great but I ran into issues with it silently failing with large resolutions > 6K. Are there reasons behind this limit or could it be increased or even made configurable?

I'm going to close this as I think this could be browser bugs and not webm muxer

Yeah this likely has nothing to do the muxer.
