the most recent discovery is that:
minecraft 1.19.2 newest forge and mods,

with only quark, can start-up
with only gun mod, can start-up
when quark+gun mod, with or without opfine, the minecraft will not start and stuck at this phaseL (logs attached)

(optifine and rubidium is not a factor as far as i see now)

Seems like if anything it's a weird mixin conflict?

Same problem, sometimes the game starts, sometimes it stays stuck on a black screen at launch

I've tried replicating the issue with no success, it seems to be a very specific setup in order to run into the issue. All I can suggest for OP is to test in an isolated environment with just Gun Mod and Quark (and the required libraries).

I'm seeming to have the same problem and it seems others have mentioned it as well; although I'm not sure if CGM itself is the cause. Also important to mention is that restarting seemingly has a 50/50 shot of actually successfully launching the game. Another thing is the number of mods I have; 214 at the time of writing. I'm going to narrow the list down until I can successfully get the launch to hang.

I should mention I'm in 1.19.2, FML 43.2.14, quark 3.4-405. I will send my debug.log to you over Discord because it is too large for Pastebin. Right-clicking Minecraft and clicking close window causes the game to close with exit code -805306369, whereas terminating via task manager doesn't. I have 4 GB of RAM allocated to Minecraft and have pretty decent specs.

Ah screw it, if more info is needed from my logs I'll dm it because I don't trust that my logs do not have personally identifying information in them. Instead take this pastebin snippet lol

On our side, we took out CGM from our modpack and now the game starts just fine everytime
We're also in a similar context with kawaiicakes, our modpack is custom made with about 200 ish mods in it

I have reason to believe KubeJS may be contributing to the underlying issue. A stack trace from a few days ago revealed sus entries from KubeJS when the freeze occurs. It's always either KubeJS or quark, who are adjacent to each other in the logs.

I'll commit to actually finding what combination of mods specifically cause this to occur when I have time.

It appears my issue may not be related to this after all. The problematic mod was Create: Slice and Dice, although I'm not sure what it was interacting with given that it worked fine by itself. Thank you for your time everyone.
