Different Welcome Email per Customer Group

Is there any way to assign different Welcome Email templates to the different customer groups? Currently we have 2 customer groups that require activation. The problem is that we need to send those groups a different Welcome Email than the one that goes to General customers.

currently this is not possible. Its a great idea though, so I'll leave the issue open as a feature ticket.
Please don't hold your breath waiting for the implementation though, I can't say when (or if ever) I'll get around to it.
