Question : how does it work ?

Hello, I am not at all used to SNES programming, however seeing your bso file and the one for Super Metroid, I understand that each letter is a parameter and number is a value.

  1. Is there a generic bso file that would fit to most of the SNES ROMs (or similar ROMs like platformers) ?
  2. If so, is there a generic bps file that would laso fit to most of the SNES ROMs (or similar ROMs like platformers) ?

The reason I asked these questions is due to the fact that Widescreen Hack from BSNES-HD seems to use IA to "real-time" generate missing area, so, in many games, the missing areas are background patterns which do not correspond to the real missing area, and sprites do not pop in the missing are (they pop only in 4:3).

So having some generic bsa and bso files would maybe help BSNES-HD to better emulate widescreen. What do you think ?

Thank you very much for your kind help and explanations.

What's IA?
