can't add a Camara

Opened this issue · 7 comments

HI, I am trying to add a Camara to new installation of AItool. every time it crashes when I choose camara.
I installed it via the AIToolSetup.2.5.44.EX

Close it and rename \AITOOLFOLDER_SETTINGS folder to .BAK

If that doesnt help, what is the exact error message?

Attach the most recent log from \AITOOLSFOLDER\Logs

Hi,
Thanks for your help ☺
I changed it, doesn't helped.
I attached the log file.
AITool.[2023-11-15].log

Hmm I dont see an important error in the log.

What is the exact error you get on screen?

Maybe the Windows Event viewer captured the error....

Start menu > type Event Viewer and press enter > Windows logs > Application: If you see any recent error entries that refer to an AITOOL crash, copy/paste into a text file and attach here.

A thought: Typically you run AITOOL on the same machine as BlueIris. It looks like you might be running from another machine? Try running it on the same machine as BI to see if it helps.

Another thought: Your version of windows 11 looks a bit old - 21H2 released in 2021. Consider letting the most recent 23H2 update install. At the very least it wouldnt hurt to force a regular windows update if you dont do it very often or let it happen automatically.

Yet another thought: Disable your antivirus and close/reopen AITOOL to test again

Oh and I suppose BI v5.8 could be a factor. I've stayed on 5.5.3.7 because a newer build than that last year was causing alert issues. Havent tested anything newer for a while.

EDIT: BI v5.8.0.16 seems to work fine for me! So its not the version directly causing the issue. But still could be one of the other things I mentioned.

Sorry for the delay answer.
I attached the error and information from event viewer.
I run AIToll from other computer (now its win11 23H2) because the computer with BI (Ver 5.8.0.16) doesn't have access to internet. I Update it OS, installed AIToolSetup.2.5.44.exe, run it, and again, when I add a camera its crush without error
AITool error info.txt
.

The event log doesnt help much since it says "faulting module path unknown".

I believe some other piece of software on your machine is still causing the crash.

  • Force a windows update one more time, reboot, then make sure you have the latest video drivers installed.
  • Uninstall any programs you dont use
  • Temporarily disable Antivirus or other security software and try again - it could be interfering
  • In AITOOL > LOG tab > Log Settings > Logging Level, set it to TRACE. Now close/reopen and try to duplicate the crash again.
  • Send the most recent 2 .LOG files again from the AITOOL folder.

Hi,

  • Windows is up to date, Microsoft AV disabled.
  • this PC is dedicated to AItool, so only AITool, DeepStack and CodeProject.AI are install
