Pulseaudio not detecting sound card properly in OMNIGUL

The reported changes in volume don't match what's shown in alsamixer. Between the two, the correct values are being reported by alsamixer.
This is for the headphone audio. No volume controls are shown for the speaker volume from within alsamixer.
I'm not sure whether this is useful but when I switched over to Pulseaudio, /dev/snd/seq was set to Pipewire.
