The dark mode toggle button overlies the "howdy" fly-out menu

When the WP admin bar is displayed on the front end, hovering the "Howdy {your name)" links makes a fly-out menu appear. The dark mode button has a higher z-index though so it overlies and partially hides the fly-out menu:

Not sure z-index: 99999; is still necessary, I guess it should be either removed or its value slightly decreased.
