Communicate new features

adamziel opened this issue · 3 comments

Let's start communicating new Playground releases to the community.

To do:

  • The form of communication is established. It would likely resemble Interactivity API Status update more than What's new in Gutenberg 15.6.
  • A recurring post is published on make.wordpress.org/meta/ with the news about recent work in Playground.
  • Playground maintains a (rolling?) Changelog to make the above process easier

Optional, to be discussed:

  • Playground maintains a list of "releases" with news in each release to make the project history easy to reason about on GitHub.

Capturing a note from @bph:

Playground Highlight would be perfect for the What's new for developer round up post.
You should be able to comment on the open issue and let us know about the Playground Highlights, and if you have a link to a make blog post that would be idea. We also link to GitHub issues/PRs or Trac Tickets. We publish on the 10th of the month and start working on the next one on the 11th.

Update: We now have an automatically refreshed CHANGELOG.md file.

The automated changelog is 🔥! Can we add it to the docs site, for reference?
