Password visible when turning on expert mode

Bug Description
When typing the password requested to switch on Expert Mode, the password appears in clear
Steps to Reproduce
- Click the cog
- turn on expert mode
- confirm you want to turn on expert mode and type password in the window that shows up
Expected Behavior
dots or stars should appear as you type your password instead of the password itself
Additional Context

This appears to be as intended but am leaving here just in case cleartext is not desired result.
