part_particles_create causes exception - uncaught ReferenceError

From post https://forum.gamemaker.io/index.php?threads/2023-8-release-thread.105622/post-636458: function part_particles_create causes error "Unhandled Exception - Uncaught ReferenceError: _Rp is not defined in file". There's most likely a typo in one of the variable names used by the function.
