Issue with entering password

I tried setting up my yubi, but setting / entering the password does not work.

OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Kernel: 5.10.29-1-lts

[mwalk@arch tmp]$ yubico-piv-tool --action verify-pin
Enter PIN:
Maximum 8 digits of PIN supported.
Pin code verification failed: 'Wrong buffer size'

[mwalk@arch tmp]$ yubico-piv-tool --action unblock-pin
Enter puk:
Enter new pin:
Verifying - Enter new pin:
Maximum 8 digits of PIN supported.

Using a password / puk with special characters e.g. "g!thub" does not work with the tool

As a workaround, does it work for you to specify the pin as a command-line option ?
