Here is some suggestions, mostly inspired by what Fing is doing.
Icons support
-
Show an icon next to hosts.

Auto detecting the appropriate icon and allowing to change it. It would greatly complete : #77
Show more informations about hosts
-
Operating System, Model name, Version, etc...
