After spotify update, ads spotted in the container in UI [Solved] [Potential breakdown of adblocker after logging out]

This problem is seen since yesterday, after a new spotify update. It's not a huge problem though but it is annoying to see the ad everytime. I am unable to spot any audio ads however, which means the adblock is functioning properly. It seems after multiple relaunches too that the same ad is displayed.

Please let me know the steps I need to take further to have it in control and if possible, even in the future.

Thank you.

Apologies for the closing and opening of the issue, I am new to github editing interface. Two new updates:

  1. Audio ads too have started coming
  2. Forgot to mention on the post, but I am running Kubuntu 22.04 LTS.

I shall soon delete the adblock and reinstall it in the hopes of having it run back again to fix my problem.

I'll soon let you know how this goes.

Thank you.

Sorry for the post which mentions that the problem started out due to the new spotify update. A few things to be noted here:

  1. The update didn't break the adblocker.
  2. I had logged out to test out my new SDDM theme. Before this action, spotify-adblock worked flawlessly. After the log out and relogging in, it fell apart. Seems some kind of bug that has plagued this app before too.
  3. Did a full reboot and now it works back again with no audio/video ads and the UI Container is empty, which is a good sign. Everything works as of now, dated 30/08/2023 at 9:30am +5.30 GST in the morning.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open spotify with the adblocker
  2. Log out through the menu
  3. Relogin
  4. Launch spotify through menu window (Application Launcher)
  5. Ads are back.
