Dynamically trigger joyride

Is it possible to dynamically trigger a joyride? We have some triggers that happen based on certain events so I'm dynamically setting startJoyRide and joyRideConfig but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Do you have a plunkr to illustrate the issue ? There was already an issue that I had closed regarding dynamic configs and I had resolved it.
