Consider saving project after each edit

Currently the user has to manually save the project if they want it saved before a close. We could offer a mode where things are saved after each edit: configuration change, file addition/removal, etc.

Think it over.

Added defun-autosave for functions which should autosave, and applied it in certain places. Things seem to work pretty well, so let's let it settle in.
