Add ruby version support

This might be a good idea since we're using the "staby" operator ->() for lambdas, which is only available in Ruby 2+, I believe.

Stabby was introduced in 1.9.

@wconrad I had no idea. I think we could not use it in Rails until version 4. I must have confused that with Ruby 2.
