Breaking change in 1.5: Absinthe.Relay.Mutation.Notation.Modern.output/2

Version 1.5 changed Absinthe.Relay.Mutation.Notation.Modern.output/1 to Absinthe.Relay.Mutation.Notation.Modern.output/2.
As detailed here, I was extending the output/1 macro to add 2 fields on many of my mutations. However, I cannot since the changes introduced in version 1.5: the output macro has 2 arguments but is used like if it had only 1 thanks to payload/2 rewriting it.
Is there a way to extend the new output macro/2 in version 1.5?
