Make plugin open pinterest in the same container where plugin button was clicked from

Sorry I don't know how to find the right place on github to write sth to the author.

You asked: "shouldn't it be handled by a separate extension? (like, for example, Facebook Container: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/facebook-container/)"

No, that's totally different addon. I don't use fb.

I don't know how to find a similar link for you, yet to "Firefox multi acccount containers" addon, but you surely know that official addon from mozilla itself?

Pl try using your plugin on such an install.
It won't work if you use Pinterest in a "pinterest" container, because your plugin then opens pinterest in the standard container - which doesn't even know that I am logged into pinterest LOL

Maybe you can simply make your plugin open pinterest in SAME container where your plugin gets clicked from?

i still not feeling like it's in scope of this extension functionality:

i gave https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/facebook-container/ as an example because it opens every facebook page in facebook container

as other example you could see containers for other apps here: https://github.com/NewAlexandria/awesome-browser-containers

and as you yourself mentioned https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multi-account-containers/ , it provides such functionality just for any user-specified website:

How does this compare to the Facebook Container extension?
Facebook Container specifically isolates Facebook and works automatically. The Firefox Multi-Account Containers is a more general extension that allows you to create containers and determine which sites open in each container. This extension can be customized to suit your needs for multiple sites and multiple logins, but takes more time to set up than Facebook Container.
