try this link https://nl.pinterest.com/pin-builder/ and choose "save from site"

if you'll have the same behavior -- you'll need to report that bug on pinterest support desk

Yes, same behavior.
I reported that bug to the Pinterest support, as you advice.

P.S.
Earlier, I used another addon for these purposes and it still works properly.
It seems, that it uses the same Pinterest API as your addon.
Now, that addon was removed from addons.mozilla.org and author's site, but still downloadable from web.archive.org:
