The example currently features functions that no longer even exists such as API::setConnector(). If the examples will not be kept up to date i think it would make it less confusing to just not include it at all.

It is working fine for me (just tested example.php with our ManageProjects.com service, running 4.2.10).

Please use master branch (don't use develop, it works only with the next generation of activeCollab API, which is not yet publicly available).

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I did pull down the master branch but ended up pulling down the development one through composer.
