NewQ stops updating

I just downloaded this extension a few days ago. I think it is really cool. But it seems to have stopped updating. At first it slowed down on the number of new StackOverflow posts it would find. Then it stopped updating my rep from SO. I closed Chrome and killed all running instances and then restarted it and it isn't updating my rep or even displaying any SO posts when I click on the NewQ button in Chrome.
I'm glad you like the app. The only thing i can think of that would cause that is if you hit the api limit. How many profiles (i.e. site/tag query combinations) are you using? The limit gets reset daily, so you should see if it works again the next day. Thanks!
That's definitely possible. I have 5 profiles with some very popular tags.
You should consider adding some comments to the Options page about what
the API limits are and how often NewQ polls. And maybe give people someway
to throttle the usage.

I agree. I'll add this on my next update. But, basically every profile means a new request about once every minute or so. Plus there is one request a minute for the reputation and the inbox. So, in your case you are getting about 7 requests per minute which should give you nearly 24 hours of usage unless you are running multiple browsers on the same IP.
Just running a single browser. I have turned off updates for the day. Will restart again in the morning and see if I start getting notifications again.
This ext is really good for boosting rep! ;)
Thanks,
Kent
