Output doesn't match image in photoshop with parent group clipping mask layers/adjustments

Hi,
Generator is awesome in general, but I've hit a huge snag that messes up my workflow. I use adjustment layers and other layers as clipping masks on parent groups of child and grandchild layers I want to output. Unfortunately the output seems to ignore all the grandparented clipping layers, but does respect masks if I use "include-ancestor-masks":true.
Is there a setting I can use to get the same output as what I see in photoshop where the clipped layers/adjustments are taken into account, or is this a bug?
I've included a low-res PSD example file:
angel_test2psd.zip
Thanks!
This is fixed in a soon-to-be released bug fix update.
Ah! That would be amazing! Any idea what the timeline is for that update? Right now I'm having to work around it and it's very tedious.
I can't say but soon!
Update is now live! 🎉 Please confirm you are no longer seeing this issue with 2015.5.1 20160722.r.156.
Hi, I just tried it on updated Photoshop 2015.5.1 on a Mac. It's a little better but still not correct. Using the example file I attached in the original post, It's taking into account the top-most clipping-mask adjustments, but not the ones right above the group with "Angel_Base.png" in it. Do I need to change some generator settings or is it something else?
Checking in again as I haven't heard a response to my last comment about it still seemingly not working. Any word?
Hi, I just checked with someone on the photoshop.com forum and they were able to get it working, but they are running Windows. Is the Mac version somehow different? I checked on both my laptop and desktop, both running the latest Photoshop and OS X, and both create the wrong result.
Hey, sorry for the delayed response (been slammed in other areas). Perhaps the person on the forum was using a config file:
https://github.com/adobe-photoshop/generator-core/wiki/Generator-Configuration-File-Format
https://github.com/adobe-photoshop/generator-assets/wiki/Configuration-Options
Let me know if you can get that configured and working the way you want.
My bad, moving too fast, I realized that based on the original report that you're probably already using a config file. I'll try to take a look at this soon and see if I can repro the problem you're still having.
Thanks for getting back to me! I've posted on other forums and it seems to work on Windows machines, but on both my laptop and my desktop it doesn't....both are running the latest OS X.
good data point. I'll carve out some time to dive into this soon. thanks.
Hi, just tried the latest Photoshop version and I'm still having this issue 6 months later. I believe it was fixed on the PC side, but not Mac?
