"General OpenAI API" not working

If the "General OpenAI API" is selected and a "Temperature" of 0.7 and a "Max Token" of 500 is used, all requests result in a Error 400.
Someone else using the OpenAI API said they had the same issue and the root cause was they were sending the Temperature as text and it must be a number.
