Change directory structure to be more IDE-friendly

Hello, I have a suggestion:
Currently, the project folder containing the src/ directory and pom.xml is not in the same level as the main git one. To be more IDE-friendly, the contents of the project folder could be moved one layer up, so that the .git file, src/ folder and pom.xml are all in the same directory level.
If this change is fine for you, I can submit a PR containing these changes ASAP.
