I made it work only on a webview on expo.

As it is explained in this react-coin-hive issue or in this coin-hive issuelooks like coin hive it is only supported on web or in node.js.
I will keep investigating once I have some time

hmm could I make it work on by changing executable path to use JavaScriptCore? http://trac.webkit.org/wiki/JavaScriptCore
