Verify if the documentation commands work on Windows

Hi there!

It is important to make sure the documentation / commands run on Windows as well. If not, we can create alternative instruction paths, create a Makefile for Windows users etc.

Following the installing from manifests approach, I can verify windows works. For actual Windows support, is it exclusionary to say we recommend WSL?
