Wasavi hangs when repeating a shift command

This is what I did when Wasavi text area became unresponsive:

• Selected a few lines using visual line mode (started with V and then cursor move)
• Use > to right-shift the lines
• Use . to repeat

I couldn't recover control after the last command above, so had to close the tab and lose data.
