Labels for small multiples missing

I have a chart that is split by small multiples (Row By) but the labels for the small multibles are not being shown.

If you toggle "Show Chart Title" for small multiples, they are somehow enabled/disabled as the chart area moves. Also changes in text size move the chart area as if more space would be reserved for the labels. But no matter what color I choose, the labels are missing in the chart.

Oh, and just to mention: If I use the Clustered Bar Chart instead (which is not a solution in my case), it all works perfectly.
