Error during first boot on RPi 4 after flashing SD Card: "This board requires newer software"

Hi,
after flashing the pivccu image to a SD Card with Etcher and put SD card back into my Pi 4 (and boot), i promptly got this error message:
This board requires newer software
Get the latest software from https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/
I think the image is too old. :S
